Welcome Back, we missed you!!
Welcome to a brand new year 2019-2020 at EURO School.
The return of students and staff brings the promise of new and meaningful relationships, extended opportunities for personal and professional growth and shared learning experiences that offer unique challenges and great rewards. I want to take this opportunity to emphasize to students how much our faculty and staff look forward to your return and how much we care about your success and well-being. Our focus is not only on what you learn in class, but also about what type of person you are. Our goals go beyond teaching specific academic content. We want students to be accountable, show creativity, be inventive, set and meet goals, understand and relate to various cultures and backgrounds, be able to resolve conflicts and problems, be able to think critically and learn from mistakes, and be contributing citizens of the world. To nurture this growth, we will continue our efforts to build and maintain a collaborative environment distinguished by mutual respect. Of course, we will be ever-mindful that character does count.
Students, we encourage you to take advantage of what is offered here, to make good decisions, study hard, and be the best person you can be. I know that if you follow this simple advice, your year will be filled with personal fulfillment, academic accomplishments and memorable interactions. We believe that every person in this building should always be growing and learning. Despite obstacles that may arise, we must always believe in our ability to rise above challenges and come out stronger on the other end.
Parents, Thank you for being a partner with us in educating these wonderful children. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.
We ask that you
1) Check FLINNT and school organizer regularly to stay informed of your child’s progress
2) Limit television and social media use by your child, encourage outside play.
3) Feel free to talk to us about your views/suggestions/doubts/concerns, if any.
Also, that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers
3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
4) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life.
We strive to nurture students and foster curiosity and love of learning, guide them to be good citizens and friends, and help them achieve their highest potential. We know you want the best for your children and so do we. The opportunities that we can provide are greatly enhanced by your support and involvement. We love your children, and appreciate you for sharing them with us every day. You and your families are a huge part of what makes EURO School so special, and together with our amazing teachers, devoted staff, and brilliant students, we can achieve great heights.
Best wishes for a wonderful school year!
